Forest Service reports: Chocolate Gulch has a few too many snow patches to call fully open. Expect snow past Oregon-Fox Connector. Fox Creek Trailhead is open, but expect patchy snow on Fox Creek trail above the upper crossing of Fox Creek. There will be activity nextweek with the new bridge being delivered. The Forest Service will begin their Fox Creek Bridge project next month. This is an important project for the very popular Fox Creek Trail.
There will be occasional closures on the trailhead and trail while heavy equipment is working and materials are being transported. Please continue to check back for updates and more details.
Tentative Closure dates:
May 11-14: Complete Trailhead Closure for Bridge Unloading and culvert replacement.
June 27-29: Trailhead and trail closure to fly in bridge materials.
